Natural Home Deodorizing Tips

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar naturally removes odor. Try filling up a spray bottle with a mixture of one part apple cider vinegar and two parts water. Spray this solution down on floors, counters, appliances, and drains for better clean. Simply spray and wipe down. There will be a strong smell at first, but it will fade as the solution dries.

Dryer Sheets

Dryer sheets are great for removing bad smells in your trash. Just put a dryer sheet in your trash and allow it to soak up all the bad smell. You could also attach a dryer sheet to your home air filter to allow the smell to waft throughout your home.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is excellent at removing bad smells. Bad odor that’s leaking from refrigerators, trash, or bathrooms can be eliminated simply by placing a fresh box of baking soda in the area.

Essential Oil

Essential oil is a safe and natural way to eliminate bad smells. Create an oil diffuser b y pouring a neutral carrier oil in a small glass container. Then add a few drops of your choice of essential oil, add some oil diffusing sticks, and then stir the mixture. Simply put the diffuser in an open area and allow the scent to fill up the space. You can also add essential oils to a humidifier.

Mold Smell Removal

Mold is a damp and earthy smell and can cause serious health problems. You can remove light mold by spraying a mixture of white vinegar, hot water, and baking soda directly onto a moldy area, and allowing it to sit for a few hours. Then use a scrub brush to remove mold from infected areas and scrub in a circle. Then dry off wet areas completely.
